i think the effect of real love should be the positive. it should encourage, give hope and happiness and the feeling of someone wanting the best for you. “Wanting the best for you” means  you want that person to have the best she/he could have. does being stupid, careless, dumb, foolish and rebellious the best for that person you care about? the answer is obvious.
